About Us

Sing Niagara is a fun loving, all female vocal group based in the Niagara Region, dedicated to singing quality four-part A Cappella harmony.

The history of Sing Niagara began in Oct 1993 when we received our charter from Harmony, Inc., an international organization of woman A Cappella singers. Our spirited chorus captured the 1994 Harmony, Inc. International competition only thirteen months later.

As well as competing, we love to entertain! Performances throughout the Niagara Region have included the Niagara-on-the-Lake Candle Light Walk, the Bigga Tomatofest in Niagara Falls, various service clubs, seniors' homes and community events. In addition to both paid and charitable performances our annual show usually held each spring is the highlight of our chorus year.

Our repertoire has something for everyone, including contemporary pop, modern jazz, inspirational hymns, show tunes, and traditional barbershop favourites. Director Diane Nicholson is working with us to produce our first CD which we hope to complete this year.

The ability to read music is not a prerequisite, but it is an asset. With the ongoing support from our Assistant Director, Marie Pyper, and our music team, our members learn their parts with ease.

We also receive top-notch musical, vocal and performance training from respected coaches of international acclaim.

The weekly rehearsals bring together women of all ages who took up this hobby because they enjoy the camaraderie and fun they have when singing and performing.

Join us in celebrating in song with thousands of our Harmony, Inc. Sisters.
