Q) Do you need to read music or have musical training?
A) Many of our members do not read music but because we provide teaching aids such as CD's,
reading music is not necessary, however it is an asset.
Q) I love to sing but I don't know if I my voice is good enough?
A) Almost everyone has a voice that is 'good enough'. Our educational efforts will help you
work torwards singing with the best voice you can.
Q) How will I know what vocal part I am able to sing?
A) Our assistant director will work with you to determine the best vocal part for you.
Q) What happens if I miss a rehearsal?
A) If you miss a rehearsal we hope that you will work on your own to keep up with the chorus.
The weekly rehearsal schedule is posted monthly so you will know exactly what songs we'll be covering.
If you call your section leader to find out what you've missed, you won't fall behind.
Q) Where do you travel?
A) We travel to Competitions, and music and vocal educational seminars that are held in
Canada and the USA. To mention a few, we have been to Jacksonville Florida, Halifax Canada
and this year our International competition is taking place in Providence, R.I.
Q) Do I have to buy my own costumes?
A) We supply most of the costumes, but sometimes you will draw on your own wardrobe
for some basics such as black dress pants.
Q How much time does this hobby require of me?
A As much time as you feel you need to dedicate to honing your craft.
